Behavior led transition strategy

The Somé Method.Evidence before scale.

Companies should not be asked to choose between reckless movement and indefinite delay. The Somé Method creates a controlled cycle of customer learning, operating alignment, movement, and measurement.

The operating system

Observe. Segment. Mobilize. Move. Measure.

Every stage answers a leadership question and produces a usable artifact. The work advances when the evidence and operating conditions support movement, not when the organization reaches imaginary certainty.

01

Observe

What are customers and the business actually doing now?

Installed-base truth, customer behavior, Voice of Customer, economics, technical dependencies, and the evidence gaps that matter.

02

Segment

Who can move now, who needs another path, and why?

Priority cohorts, treatment logic, eligibility, offers, incentives, guardrails, and explicit exception rules.

03

Mobilize

Can the operating environment support the intended movement?

Ownership, decision rights, care, field, fulfillment, tooling, communications, capacity, and readiness gates.

04

Move

What bounded action will generate evidence without losing control?

Pilot or wave plan, customer-facing end dates, escalation paths, daily operating rhythm, and go or stop decisions.

05

Measure

What happened, what changed, and what should scale next?

Retention, adoption, ARPU, contact, install, exception, and velocity measures that update the strategy using real behavior.

The Somé Transition Economics Model

The status quo is not the control group.

Leadership is right to scrutinize churn, ARPU, and disruption. The error is measuring only the downside of change while treating delay as neutral.

01

Risk of moving

Incremental churn, revenue exposure, migration cost, operational load, customer friction, and technical risk by cohort.

02

Cost of waiting

BAU churn or non-renewal, competitive attrition, legacy operating cost, deferred next-generation economics, and growing future transition risk.

03

Net transition value

Both sides compared with confidence ranges, capital requirements, savings timing, readiness gates, and a specific next decision.

What the work requires

Focused access. Low disruption. Decision-ready outputs.

A typical diagnostic uses one sponsor, one working contact, four to six focused interviews, two working sessions, and a bounded data pack. Most analysis and synthesis happen outside the client meeting cadence.

01Installed-base truth

A bounded population, a credible definition of completion, and the evidence gaps that matter.

02Priority cohorts

Differentiated customer paths, incentives, guardrails, end dates, and exception treatment.

03Readiness and ownership

Operating blockers, decision rights, capacity needs, and leadership calls required before scale.

Named actions, owners, measures, and the next evidence-generating movement.
